Kobe Steel and Steel Dynamics are implementing ITmk3 technology in the United States

Japanese Kobe Steel announced that it plans to build factories for the production of pellets in the United States, together with Steel Dynamics, reported Reuters.
Companies will use the new technology producing high-quality iron ore on the basis of low grades.
This will be the first factory that uses the technology of Kobe - ITmk3. Investments in construction are 26 billion yen (237 million dollars). The company will be located in Hoyt Lakes (Minnesota). Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2009.
